Five times Archibald Prize Finalist, David Naseby is renowned for his insightful contemporary portrait paintings

Established Australian portrait artist, David Naseby, is a five times finalist in Australia's most extraordinary art event, the Archibald Prize.

A number of his contemporary portrait paintings of notable Australian figures, such as former Prime Minister, Sir John Gorton and poet Les Murray, are now in the collections of the National Portrait Gallery of Australia and the Museum of Australian Democracy Old Parliament House.  His sensitive complex paintings also include writer  Bob Ellis, Labor stalwart and author Dick Hall and  his close friend cartoonist Bill Leak.
